Part Three

Oscar opened his eyes at the soft knock at the door of Luva's study. He raised his head from the arm rest where he had been sleeping and looked around groggily. The knock came again, louder this time, and Oscar got to his feet, stretching

"All right, all right. I'm coming, hold on."

"Oscar-sama, is that you?" Oscar groaned. It was Lumiale. He had no doubt been with Clavis and would be here to see Luva. Speaking of which, the Guardian of Fire looked at his friend. He was still asleep, his hair still free from the turban, which was laid over the back of the chair behind the Guardian of Earth's book-laden desk.

Tearing his eyes away reluctantly, Oscar strode over to the door and opened it a crack. Sure enough, there was Lumiale, his head to one side and a curious expression on his face.

"I'm here to see, Luva-sama." He said hesitantly. "If he's here." Oscar nodded as he heard Luva finally stir from sleep behind him.

"He's here. But I'm not sure he wants to see anyone right now."

"Oh", said Lumiale, quite put out by this. "I'd better come back later then." Oscar closed the door firmly as the other guardian walked away, his head slightly bowed.

Go back to your music, Oscar thought.
